County golf guide
Dublin
Dublin has a varied golf scene, with famous links, historic clubs, public courses, parkland layouts, and open competitions around the county.
The county works well for almost every type of golfer. There are elite championship venues, accessible municipal and public options, mature suburban clubs, and courses close to the city, airport, and coast.
For open competitions, Dublin is one of the most important counties to follow because the volume is high, the formats are varied, and golfers can often find something suitable without travelling far.
Must play
Portmarnock Golf Club
Portmarnock is Dublin's classic must play, a pure links course with history, subtle strategy, and a reputation that places it among Ireland's most important golf venues.
Recommended
Corballis Links Golf Club
Corballis is a recommended option for golfers looking for links golf, good value, and a course that delivers far more character than its modest scale might suggest.
